i may have a lot of gripes about the manga, but i'll always be thankful that it did brought me out of my drawing slump - i had stopped drawing for a loooong while before this, but the character he made in megumi - and all the fanwriters and fanartist i've met along the way - inspired me to start drawing again. and of course im thankful for that!!

and i had a whole rant for how the manga went, especially with how megumi's character was handled. but i dont even want to think about those right now lmao - 'it is what is' so they say.

what i can say though is that i personally may have wanted to see megumi's domain completion, or him use his ct at its peak - but i think what his character is about is that he's more than what his ct could've been, and that him being alive and well is more than enough. that he is enough. him being alive and wanting to be alive is the character growth for him.

from the moment he was born all he had was the burden of his name, which his father (and gojo) freed him from. and then later on the burden of being born with a cursed technique that can rival limitless, which he is now free from as well - because he never cared about being the strongest, coz to him happiness is when he's living a normal life seeing the people he cares about happy. and while i do want to see more of megumi, i think i am happy with that conclusion.

i'll just take that for what it is and try and put megumi in the fluffy slice of life AU he has always wanted :)

First off, thank you very much. This is probably one of the nicest strings of words that were ever thrown my way 💚

I started drawing when I was very little. Both my parents were artists (a tattoo and graffiti artist for one, and a classical painter the other) and I grew up drawing every chance I got. I am more skilled with classical painting than digital since I only started that fairly recently. But I admire all the digital art out there so I wanted to start learning it too. Fence was actually the first digital art I've ever drawn so it has a special place in my heart ଘ(੭ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ✩‧₊˚

Writing fanfic comes down to a similar vein. I liked reading a lot when I was little, had my first job at a bookshop and combined with my love for video games, all that creative input had to go out somewhere. So I turned to fanfic. And I've been doing it ever since, mostly in English nowadays.

I do not have one currently. I had multiple cats in my life though; I'm a big cat person. Their independence fascinates me ✨

My favorite food would be lasagna, shortly followed by rice pudding. Both in practice and in theory lol.

Favorite music artist is Noah Kahan, next to Em Beihold and Jagwar Twin. Hozier also, but I feel like every non-straight person adores that guy, so it barely counts lmao. For bands I'm a big fan of Set It Off, Blame My Youth and NOTD. I'm a big indie and alternative fan as you can see :')

My favorite movie is Night in the museum ever since I saw it first when I was small. Something about it gets me every time, I don't know hah :D

What happened in the thg subreddit?

I didn't want to continue stirring the pot, but honestly I'm still miffed about it so I'm gonna answer. I wouldn't care if it only happened to me, but it didn't and that makes me even more angry lmao. It's why i've been quiet for a few days. I had to simmer down.

I will not provide links of any sort, I don't want this to spark about shitstorm and draw more any more attention it than I already have. If you know, you know, you know?

But the tHG subreddit are guilty of but are not limited to:

Thinly veiled racist remarks regarding fan/artist interpretation of character's skin tone. As if the skin colour of one's skintone doesn't further add to the class disparity that is VERY canon in the books. Then downvoting when people (especially the OP) give their justifications on their interpretation, which is actually supported by the book. Look at a fucking bowl of olives, they come in all different shades and hues. This issue only scratches the surface we talk about race, skin colour and its relationship with the books AND how the community handles it. It's a shit show all around.

2. Unsolicited criticism of fan art. (This is what I'm most upset about.) If someone isn’t asking for criticism, it’s wrong to offer critiques, especially if it’s a stranger. I don’t care if the person critiquing is an artist of whatever skill, don’t even care if it’s Da Vinci himself, it’s inappropriate. Art is time consuming and its is personal even when we say it isn’t. Someone people like to draw things a certain way and sometimes they prefer to use colour outside of conventional means. Who cares. When they share it to their community, they’re sharing something they love and care about, ripping it apart with criticism and critiques spoils that joy. I don't care if you're an artist yourself and you just want someone to improve, if I didn't ask for critiques, I don't want it. You're not an artist at that point, you're a hemorrhoid. Completely unwanted. Gonna need a cream for that.

I view my fanart differently than I would an art assignment I've giving my art teacher for mark. Different frame of mind, different goals. All of which I get to decide if I want criticism or not.

This is how a bad apple spoils the bunch. THG is over 10 years at this point. While the new books and movies bring in new content every now and then, for the most part we're on the smaller side of the fandom. If you ask me, fanfic writers are the backbone of this fandom and we're extremely lucky to have so many talented writers who still continue to write for us. We have a small handful of fanartists in comparison. Go to the THG subbreddit and you might see at least one or two new fanart artwork once a week thanks to the self promotion Sunday. Might see less if this sort of behaviour continues. Sorry, not sorry, but being a total asswort to and dogpiling on your content creators are a surefire way to never get content from them again. In all of this i forget to mention that 95% for fanwork is given away for free to the community, for the community to enjoy.

I didn't think it was that bad until I saw it first hand and in development. If I didn't have my friends here on tumblr and on the discord server, I'd probably straight up leave.

Of course, these issues aren't exclusive on reddit. My first encounter with some nasty individuals began here on tumblr. But its different if one singular user on tumblr leaves an nasty ignorant and racist comment compared to that user getting upvoted a bunch of times and any sort of justification by the original artist or OP gets DOWNVOTED to hell. One asshole is fine, but seeing the dogpile is something else.

Anyway, my relationship with how I viewed the subreddit has drastically changed this week. Not for the better. I'll keep posting to piss people off and let them get a twist in their panties, but I am more certainly going to limit my interactions with users there.

also i know someone wrote a meta post explaining this way better but Laios is just so angry. the post was mostly about how in most media the character who is autistic misreads the social situation is always in the wrong. the character must always realize they've committed a horrible social taboo and eventually apologize to everyone for their bad behavior. but Dugeon Meshi lets Laios be angry. like yeah!! why didn't ppl just explain things to him?? he gets mad when other ppl pretend to get along w him but actually dislike him and are waiting for him to get a clue. so yeah, Laios is a chill guy but underneath that he is just so angry at the world all the time. he's pissed off ppl treat him like a freak for acting sincerely, he's pissed off ppl treat his sister like a freak for her natural talents, and Kabru is super valid and right for assuming that Laios hates humanity bc he kinda does a lil (tho not to the extent that Kabru thought ofc)

1/2 I've had a discussion about commissioned fanart/fanfic with a friend lately, and we disagree. For me, it goes against everything I know ff to stand for to get compensation for it (though freely donated ko-fi by readers, that I can get by). But my friend asked, how ff is different from fanart? "Fanartist strive on ko-fi, patreon, etc, they regularly sell fanmerch... it's a discrimination against ff writers if they are not allowed to get the same support fanartists get". 

And I get where she's coming from... but I still think FF are different, and I can't articulate why. =/ I know you feel similarly, your patreon is always strictly for your original creations. I'm wondering what your thoughts are about this? *Why* is fanart different? *If* it is. (Btw, you don't need to reply, I just figured I ask because you always seem to have such insightful comments and opinions. But anyway, have a great day!!)

I apologise because I doubt I’m going to have a very clear answer to this. So I’m just going to highlight my wishy washy thoughts because that’s all I have.

* Firstly, I think there is a huge double standard for anyone who thinks it’s fine to accept money for fanart but not for fanfiction. Both are transformative works that take a lot of time and effort to make. Period.

There is a reason for the bias that I’ve observed. And that’s because most professional authors, creators, directors and scriptwriters have - for decades - been pro-fanart and anti-fanfiction, and some of that has trickled down into attitudes in fandom. Even today, pro-fic scriptwriters will say ‘oh I love the idea of fanfiction but legally I can’t read any’ while repeatedly reblogging or retweeting or sharing or even reposting fanart with delight. And that’s the ones who are pro-fic.

But over the decades, there have been plenty of famous authors and properties in particular, who were pro-fanart (though not pro ‘profiting off fanart’), but anti-fanfiction. Anne Rice and Robin Hobb come immediately to mind. Some of these people even commissioned fanart themselves, while taking fanfiction authors to court. The double standard there is huge. If you’re posting fanart on your page but hating on fanfiction authors as a professional, you probably need to examine your biases.

* Secondly, personally, I think it’s unethical for me to accept money for my fanfiction OR fanart. I have no double standard, they are both the same to me.

* Fanartists literally making entire livings off their fanart makes me uncomfortable. Particularly when they’re making more money than the original creator or the original property. I have less of an issue when it’s like, Marvel or Disney, but then, those huge organisations can afford lawyers and send C&Ds (Cease & Desists) and are powerful enough to shut down and destroy accounts (and sadly, artists). But in the case of smaller fandoms, unfortunately it means you can end up with scenarios where some fanartists are making much more than the creators who created the property in the first place. Imho, I don’t like that. But that’s a nuanced, complicated issue for which there are no easy rules.

There are definitely increasingly ways people can profit off fanfiction and do. I think it is immensely hypocritical for anyone who financially supports fanartists to then draw a dubious/mythical line in the sand re: saying fanfiction authors making a profit is wrong. I’m sorry anon, but it’s an attitude that’s literally ‘They can do it but you can’t lmao I have no reason sorry but I guess you don’t deserve to pay your bills for your fanworks but these people do because of their fanworks have a nice day.’

Sometimes I wish I really did feel better about making money off fanfiction. I think I’d be making more money if I did. But I just don’t feel okay about it, personally, in myself. I don’t expect anyone else to hold themselves to the same standard, a person’s gotta eat. I’m just lucky I can eat because of Fae Tales.

Fanfiction authors are definitely finding more and more ways to make money off their fiction, usually via Ko-Fi tips, or even just placing fanfic on Wattpad and getting money via that. Even through Patreon (though if they get reported, their account will be closed down and suspended). But the struggle is real. Meanwhile the big name fanartists get huge booths at all the conventions and are treated like celebrities making profits off of fanart, and are more likely to get professional offers re: jobs, including fanart in their portfolio. Try doing the same thing as a professional author. You’ll be treated as a joke.

Yes, the double standard is fucking annoying, and it’s also just crap. There’s probably a reason most people can’t think of a good reason why one group should get paid but not the other, for both doing literally the exact same thing in different creative forms. And that reason is ‘because there is no good reason.’

If fanartists can make a profit so boldly and wildly off of other creative properties, then fanfiction authors should be able to as well, without fear of criticism that’s directed specifically at them but not fanartists. That’s just...internalising the hate that professional creators put out into the world, and that hate came from a fear of their works being stolen by writers, but not by artists. There might be a secondary fear around it hurting fandom, but that’s something that most people don’t really talk about, and it’s not like anyone brings it up re: fanartists selling prints.

Imho, for me personally it’s complicated. I follow a set of rules for myself that I created over twenty years ago, and I don’t know if I’d have the same rules if I was only just starting out in fanfiction now.

But also I’m just grateful that my fanfiction is just always free, and I can do whatever I want without ever having to worry about the bottom line, or income. That’s very freeing for me on a literal level, and it means I can relax. I would lose that if I was making a profit off of it.

But yeah otherwise, in a world where fanartists get to make wild profits off of what they’re doing? It’s frankly just straight up unfair if fanfiction writers can’t. It’s a double standard that hurts people.

i feel like fandom can be pretty hostile towards teens tbh esp in fandoms that reasonably would be geared more towards their age group. like its not like im gonna pop into the sk8 tag and be shocked that its mostly full of 15 yos bc that is the target demographic. i feel like people kinda present things as if theres this antagonistic relationship where teens are attacking adults or trying to force their way into fandom spaces, but teens have been a huge part of fandom for years. like i was 14 writing shitty teen titans fanfiction on ffn 10 years ago. a lot of fanart, fanfiction, cosplay, zines, etc are made by teens. theyre a part of fandom as well and have been really for like?? a very long time?? 

really most teens just wanna talk to other ppl around their ages. in my experience a lot of them are upfront about their boundaries and all. its good that 15 yos can say “i dont want to talk to ppl 20+” and that, to me, is much more preferable than how fandom was 10 years ago. 

like im not even old lmao but i feel like people forget how shitty and predatory and awful fandom was like?? 5+ years ago?? like seriously. it wasnt until around 2013-2015ish that people started being like “hey if youre an adult dont roleplay nsfw with minors” bc that kinda was the norm. maybe theres some things that are worse about fandom nowadays! but overall fandom was a space that was not safe before and i struggle to feel nostalgic for that culture esp when there are less safeguards in place now to create adult only spaces so it really is just self regulated lmao

fandom has teens in it. fandom has had teens in it for a while. fandom is gonna continue to have teens in it. the main thing is just deciding whether you, as an adult, will ignore this or not, but it really isnt true to say that teens dont contribute to fandom. 

like?? who do you think is making all the flower crown icons and edits?? i swear every time i click on a fanartists page theyre like in ninth grade and drawing at a professional level. they really do also organize events and curate content and run zines too. yes, people 30+ organize cons and all, but why would a teenagers contribution of art and community be any less valuable?

i feel like if it was anything other than fandom then people would be less willing to speak so negatively about teens, ya know? if a teen is bothering you then block and move on. theyre kids. they will never think that you, a 30 yo, is cool. thats the way it should be to make sure us adults stay humble lmao

truly tho, the vast majority of them are just vibing and doing their own thing with people their own age. theres no reason to expect them to be respectful of adults and their contributions if youre not going to extend that same kindness back to them.

tbh i never really thought about how the mask art came to be with regard to dream's branding, cos ... you're right lmao it's just a white blob ?? so it makes sense that fans would've made that a thing, cos . well, masks are cool as hell. i think the parallels made were perhaps inevitable by virtue of the fact that both masks had the smiley face, even if that wasn't in the ballpark of the original intent

yes i have four....i'm not one of those 'everything goes on main and you can deal with it' type people.... but i have an inspiration blog @prickelndauge (art insp, lots of fashion, cool photography), an art-only blog @swmpwxtch, one just for spooky/creepy content because i'm really into horror manga and scary movies and that kind of stuff but i keep it off of main because i know a lot of it can often be triggering to others! soooo long i thought i'd be gone by now tbh. i know i signed up in 2011 after just browsing the site through random blogs and tags for ages, but i didn't start actively using my own account until early 2012!

in the past i have had some....issues with other people i've met on here but never directly had confrontation with them? most of the time that's happened i figure it's been one-sided though because i can get irritated with certain behavior really quickly—like i always say my heart is big and open but my bullshit tolerance is dangerously low—but when that's the case i'll just unfollow or block without saying anything?

although back in the day there was one instance (and seriously if anyone remembers this you deserve a medal because this shit was Ridiculous) where i kinda but not really called out another 1d fanartist who posted untagged noncon fanart they'd done of at least two of the boys, and then acted like it was no big deal (like. 1. those are irl people my dude and 2. untagged noncon art?? in front of my salad??) and their friends kept defending them for it and tried to come for me claiming i was a proponent of Purity Culture when i'm not and literally all i said in my post on it was that in my own opinion it was kinda fucked up to draw noncon art of real life people—not characters played by actors! but actual real people as themselves—in the first place, but if you felt the need to post highly triggering content like that the least you could do was tag it accordingly

Honestly the fact that the DA fandom keeps being hell discourse and controversies wise is very much NOT GREAT even if it has some of the most talented writers and artists I've seen in more than thirty years of being in fandom spaces. But I'm curious, why do you say that DBH was weird in a bad way? I was very into it but mostly into Gavin9000 with a buncha friends, so I probably missed out on all the shitstorms

The weirdest comments I ever got on any fic was Eversion. The largest amount of people telling me how to write my fic and what I should do next was in the DBH fandom with Eversion. And the one time I joined a Hankcon server it was an unpleasant experience and I left pretty much three days later (most servers I get tired of I just leave on permanent mute, but that one I actually yeeted myself out of because it was uncomfortable. And as soon as folks knew I was writing a fic, they were telling me how I should write it, without asking me if I wanted that ‘advice’ lmao - it was a lot of people talking at me about what they wanted to see most, which is like, idk, I feel like some of the people I encountered in that fandom were kind of entitled? It wasn't that friendly either, it was very much a 'I think your fic would be worth reading if it did *this very niche thing I'm interested in*') 

Like, that fandom, at least what I saw of it, was just like... unpleasant, alienating, cliquey and strangely competitive. But I didn’t join it with a bunch of friends. I was kind of alone in my interest, though I had friends who liked it, in a more general ‘we just enjoy the game’ or ‘this fanart is nice’ way, it wasn’t anything in depth. As soon as I finished the fic, I was like... I had no reason to stay. 

Don’t get me wrong, the majority of folks who ended up commenting on Eversion were great, though the bulk of them were people who were already coming to my fic from other stuff I’d written, they weren’t ‘DBH fans’ they were folks who would try my writing (god help them) because they liked my older stuff. But I’ve also met like two or three really great folks from the DBH fandom, and chatted to some great fanartists too. 

But yeah I don’t want to write fic for it again, I never saw a ton of hostile discourse or anything, though I know it’s out there (especially with folks who hate Reed and then bash anyone who ships him with any character, those people suck), and I did enjoy writing Eversion. But the fandom experience was just weird and I no longer follow anyone (I’m pretty sure) who posts DBH content because of it. I think there’s like a gif blog or something, but I haven’t seen anything from them in months.

Also I’ll be clear, I missed out on a lot of the shitstorms too, but deliberately. My encounter with the fandom in AO3 comments, on Twitter, and Tumblr, and joining a Discord server had me exiting all aspects of that fandom until finally all I was left with were the AO3 comments, and that helped, lol. 

Obviously everyone has very different experiences of fandoms, and I think it’s great that you’ve had a good experience. I know a couple of others who’ve had good experiences too in DBH. I think once you can get that network of like, trusted friends in a fandom, you’re in a good space. For me it could’ve just been timing. I came to the DBH fandom when interest was kind of starting to even out, and I came to it via seeing some reverse AU fanart that inspired me to watch an entire playthrough and then write the fic (I never played the game), so some of it was also likely on my part - I just didn’t have like the hardcore passion for the characters or the game to see me through the weirdness, whereas other people can tolerate a lot of weirdness if they love the property enough.

So yeah, anyway, I’m not saying everyone’s experience in that fandom was weird in a bad way, I’m definitely just saying my experience was weird in a bad way. For a while, it had me wanting to quit writing Eversion, and I could only really keep going with it once I nixed out of all aspects of DBH social media, and just focused on the fic and went to the Wiki page for research.

Where...are these people that say this shit about basil??? Im not saying you're lying- fandoms are..like that..but I never see it??

Youtube for one. Thankfully not as much anymore but holy shit when the game had just come out. Lots of people kept saying shit like “wow Sunnny is a sociopath” in comments of videos. Even saw someone call Basil “rapey” once in a chain of comments with people agreeing.

Twitter has most of the fanartists there but also a bunch of Hot Takes and unfunny attempts at dark humor so looking through the game tags can be very annoying. The Hot Takes are more along the lines of “If you hc Basil as bi, I will block you. He’s GAY”.

And then there’s also Tumblr of course. The shit is way less frequent here, surprisingly, but it still happens. There were posts a while back some of my followers recognized through my bitching lmao.

The Omori reddit also has some pretty wtf posts too sometimes if you try to sort it by new. I’ve seen several posts there of guys who played the game and were creeped out by Basil’s neediness.

The latest Basil fuckery post I saw was pretty easy to find just by looking through main Omori tags so I’m not gonna say more lolol.

i reeeally dont think the goal of creating any fan content should be to get acknowledgement from creators or staff, in fact personally i'd rather they ignored all of it, but it IS super weird that fanartists are seen as cool and writing fanfiction is seen as something for Nerds Who Have No Lives even by fandom (which is probably full of other nerds who have no lives). in fact ive noticed people just like to dunk on writers in general now, like that one post ive seen floating around here about how "writers dont fit in at parties" or whatever. but someone in my replies a while back said "it's Tumblr Nerds trying to convince themselves theyre better than other nerds" and that's probably right. also i might sound like a boomer going "get a real job" for this but people making $40+ per commission on fucking fanart genuinely pisses me off sometimes lmao

I didn’t mean that should be writer’s motivation, I was using it as an example of how artists are more acknowledged then us, so much so that even the staff sees and supports them sometimes and we can’t even get our own readers to reblog anything. Obviously something like that is a wonderful perk for some artists but we never get that kind of acknowledgement

And I just want to point out that within the last 10 years, not only have I written fan fiction, but I wrote it while working 2 jobs and having my own place where I lived by myself or with old roommates that I don’t have anymore. So to think writers have no life while I was legit taking care of myself and working hard more than a lot of people in fandom do nowadays is just plain wrong

Honestly if writers were paid as frequently for fan stories as much as artists were for fan art, I would do it. I’m just pointing out that that is yet one more perk to being a fan artist, using that as perhaps an incentive for people to finally understand that supporting us in the very limited ways we can be supported is important. We don’t get the thousands of Instagram followers too who are just waiting for those commissions to open up or for the artists special stickers to be up for sale. We literally get nothing other than comments and reblogs and maybe MAYBE if we’re lucky enough, fan art of our stories

It is the least anyone can do because we don’t have all of what the artists do. I’m not saying art isn’t hard because I’ve tried it and it’s incredibly hard. But so is writing, and we don’t even get good stats on our stories to show off our hard work. My Lotor/OC story JUST reached 200 views and only 3 comments. Meanwhile the fan artists who draw Lotor/OC get hundreds of likes and comments and followers and can sell merch. I can’t

Her kpop fanart is soooo good and I used her tutorials to learn how to get better at sketching. If you look at the sketches I've been posting for the past few months on my insta art account, you'll notice that they're highly inspires by Nikki's art. She's definitely the artist I'm looking at most in terms of inspiration and improving on my own art.^-^

b.) @/angelganev: His art is sooo pretty. He does semirealism and I've found him by browsing through pinterest to find some art inspiration/references/tutorials. He also does drawing contests in which his followers can draw one of his work he selects in their own style and he gives a shout out to the ones he liked best. It's always interesting!!

c.) @/melmadedooks: This man can draw about ANYTHING, he's so talented. He used to draw lots of his 'dooks' and I've found him through seeing some of his works on pinterest (again, lol). I've actually redrawn two of his 'dooks' and posted them to my art account AND HE LIKED BOTH OF THEM, I WAS SO HAPPY OMG!!! He used to draw his dooks using only one coloured pencil, so I've also started experimenting with that and instead of using a graphite pencil, I used coloured pencils for my sketches and those gave off very different vibes that I really liked!!

d.) @/rezajeez: Probably *the* kpop fanartist I've been following for the longest of times. They are AMAZING!! They mainly do huge photorealistic portraits with INSANE details. It's funny actually, because their work is the complete opposite to shooky_dough's work. While Reza draws photorealism on a big surface (probably A3? maybe more??) and draws very detailed, Nikki focuses more on sketches/more semirealistic and "simplistic" art and it's usually drawn quite small, so seeing these opposites really broadens my horizon, I think^^

e.) Last but nor least, @/rossdraws: In my opinion, he's the modern day Bob Ross! His art is so freaking stunning, have you checked out his digital art landscape series?? The amount of talent this man holds in his pinky finger is more than I've got in my whole body like- OOF a huge inspiration to me!!~

4. If you could play any instrument, which would you play?

× The guitar!! I really want to learn how to play it~

5. If you could choose one anime to live in, which one would you choose and why?

× Either Ouran High School Host Club or Your Lie In April. The first one is just so much fun and I'd love hanging out with the host club members and as for the latter,,, I just really want to be here for Kousei and help him through his anxiety because I know so well how it feels like and I also wish I could sing while he plays the piano, we'd be a great duo✊🏻😔 (I'm sorry, I couldn't choose one)

6. This is a bit of an old DeviantArt fic trend, but if you received an Android of your favourite character from any anime/show/etc., who would it be?

× Hmmm... that's a great question omg there's so many amazing choices I could make😭😭 But I think I'd go with Kirito, I just really really love him ahhhhh

7. Is there anything you would like to do but haven't because your friends/family didn't want to do it with you?

× There's actually a few things I could name... first, I really want to go bungee jumping (preferably from the Macau Tower, as it's the highest bungee jump in the world😍) but my fam and friends think I'm crazy for wanting to do this but I'm actually quite an adventurous person which probably not many people know about me, so I love doing stuff like that.✊🏻😂

× I would also really like to travel with friends... it's not that I dislike travelling with my mom and stepdad but whenever I can't take someone with me, I feel like such a child ??? idk,, never travelling (I wanted to say "without adults" but then I realized I AM an adult) on my own with friends and always tagging along with my parents kind of make me feel like I'm not independent or mature/grown-up for it. But I feel like none of my friends want to travel with me... most of them have a travel buddy already but I just... don't akdjsjs

× Cherry Blossoms all the way💞 but all flowers are beautiful and I really like roses, too.

× My hobbies include singing, drawing, dancing, writing, reading, researching astrology, studying Korean, watching youtube videos/netflix, listening to music and OF COURSE DAYDREAMING✊🏻😔

10. If you were going to be stranded on a deserted island with nothing but the clothes on your back and a bag, what would you put in the bag?

× I'd definitely put food and water in the bag, my phone, earphones, a portable solar charger with a USB cable (so that my phone won't die and I could chill for however long I want while watching kpop mv's and then also use my phone to call for someone to rescue me from this island once I start running low on resources), all the books I still want to read, my art supplies and a few sketch books, some towels that I could use to lay on or use as blankets, a pillow and my teddy bear, and obviously a toothbrush and toothpaste, a hairbrush and a few hair ties and bobby pins (you don't want long sweaty hair stuck to your skin during a hot summer ewww), some soap to wash myself and my clothes, sunscreen and also some insect spray to keep the bugs away!! (it's a big bag, okay)
